Guidance Department

What subject should you take? What occupation is best for you? How can you find out about a job? Should you go to college? What are your strong points? How can you get a scholarship?

The Guidance Program at Brooke High School can help you find the answers to these to these and many other questions. The Home Room Advisor to whom you have been assigned and your Center Counserlor are there to help you get along and find the answers to questions.

Your Counselor has the specific job of helping you answer questions about yourself. They will talk to you about your abilities or plans, personal problems or other interests which you may have. At times during the year, your counselor will arrange a conference with your if you have not already seen him/her. The Counselors will also conduct testing programs to help you evaluate your abilities and will explain the results of the test to you.

Just remember, your guidance counselor is there to help you. Take time to go in and become acquainted with him/her. Your counselor will be happy to see you!
