Spawned just recently by Michael Brunn of Höxter, Germany, the Tetra-Schiefspiegler family of telescopes began life as heavily redesigned Tri-Schiefs with a folding flat added for an accessible focus. Later designs use curved quaternary mirrors to correct either distortion, or image tilt.
