Joshua Fluharty appears in Engle's lists - "Undersignated Militia - Bedford County, PA Joshua Fleeheart was a Ranger (Washington County, OH) serving time to time 1791-3 and March 1791 living with family in Belpree and Farmers Castle. Quotes from Athens County history 1795 "two of the Fleeharts, noted frontiersmen, came up the Hockhocking to hunt" and in 1806 Board of Commisioners authorized temporary prison to recieve John Fleeharty. Further from PA Archievs; "Soldiers who recieved Depreciation Pay as per cancelled certificates - Rangers of the Frontiers, 1778-1873 Joshua Fleeharty - Bedford County. Its is speculated that both Joshua and John were sons of John, who appears as John Faherty in 1790 PA Census Bedford County with 1 male >16, 2 males <16 and 5 females.
