The drive images are a modified version of an image obtained from Nigel Gibbs at lrp.gibbsoft.com.
They run a version of Linux provided by the Linux Router Project.
There are images configured with several network cards available.

  • The NE2000 PCI compatible (Winbond W89C940 chip) network card.
It will work with many other NE2000 PCI compatible cards.
  • The D-Link 538TX (Realtek RTL8139 chip) card.
  • The SIS 900 chip. Thanks to Jesse and the Athlonmb.com Seti team for this image.

Nigel has images on his site configured for the Intel E100B/E100M and 3Com 3c509 cards.

  • download the PCI NE2000 standard image.
This is the same as the image at lrp.gibbsoft.com except that it has the PCI NE2000 LAN driver installed.

  • download the PCI NE2000 image with Linux logs disabled.
The log files can cause a system with limited memory to run out of RAM disk space.
My LRP SETI systems would only run for a few weeks until I disabled logs.

  • download the PCI NE2000 image with Linux logs disabled and telnet access enabled.
This image allows you to use telnet to connect to the LRP system and monitor it's progress.
WARNING! This image does not require a password for telnet access!
Use it only if you are protected by a firewall.
To log in with telnet use root as the login name.

  • download the D-Link 538TX, Realtek RTL8139 image with Linux logs disabled.

  • download the SIS 900 image with the I686glibc1 SETI client.
This I686glibc1 SETI@home client will not run on older intel processors or the AMD K6.

Nigel has created a new image using the LEAF Bering firewall disk.
I have it configured for several network cards.

  • Download the Tulip driver image.
Supports Netgear FA310TX, Linksys LNE100TX and other Digital 21x4x chip cards.

  • Download the Tulip driver image with telnet access enabled.

  • Download the NE2000 PCI compatible (Winbond W89C940 chip) image.
It will work with many other NE2000 PCI compatible cards.

  • Download the NE2000 PCI compatible (Winbond W89C940 chip) image with telnet enabled.

  • Download the 3-Com 3C59x image.
    Works with several 3-Com cards.
